Some musings from my favorite gun forum: sigtalk.com
Somebody posted up a sign with the cost of a gallon of gas when Obama took office. I suggested there were a whole bunch of other signs and facts we could post about the state of affairs when he took office, like about the economy. And jobs.
SouthernYankee took issue with that and said:
Nev;Poor comparison on so many levels. When Obama was taking his Grad Law classes I was on the same side of the Charles taking some Grad Economics classes. He should have joined us, but it is obvious it that would have conflicted with his World View, then and now. His economic positions support a political outcome.
And then I said:
OK. But I don't understand how that'd be different than either party. Is not the blatant obstructionist Republican behavior during Obama's reign also to advance a political outcome?
The gas sign was about when Obama took office. -->Something presidents and politicians don't have anything to do with or control over. https://www.google.com/search?q=presidents+don%27t+control+gas+prices&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
Even Fox news call BS on that:

There were a whole bunch of other realities going on when Obama came to office actually more relevant to a president's power. Like the job situation.
Separate from all the "socialist" accusations, what politics is Obama playing with the stock market at all time highs, corporate profits at all time high with ordinary SOB wages at all time low and zero prosecution of Wall Street criminals? All seems rather Republican to me.
